Bronte Laser Training

Getting certified on Bronte is a four-step process. Complete all steps in order.

  • Step 1 — Online course UNDER RECONSTRUCTION, see slack. Watch the videos and pass the quiz. 

  • Step 2 — In-person training Register for and attend the in-person training session.

  • Step 3 — Supervised cut Request a one-on-one supervised cut through the #laser channel on Slack.

  • Step 4 — RFID access Once your supervised cut is complete, you'll receive RFID card access to Bronte

Glowforge Training

During this class, members will be invited to create a Glowforge app account, learn the basics of the control software, and get onboarded on the safe operation of the machine. This class will briefly touch on the file types that the Glowforge will accept, as well as, recommending different pieces of design software that may be useful. However, this class will not go in-depth about the design process.
