Basics of Speaker Design

Dive into the fascinating world of sound and speaker design with this engaging two-night workshop! Over the course of two evenings, you’ll not only learn the science behind what makes great sound but also build your own pair of high-quality speakers to take home and enjoy.

What to Expect:

  • Night 1: We’ll kick off with an overview of sound that it is, how it works with human hearing, and its connection to speakers. The class will cover the fundamentals of speaker types, components, and design principles. By the end of the evening, you’ll glue up your speaker boxes to prepare for assembly the following night.

  • Night 2: You’ll sand, prep, and assemble your speakers. This includes soldering your own crossover components, installing drivers, and putting everything together. We’ll cap the evening by testing your completed speakers with some classic tracks (think Pink Floyd!) to showcase the incredible sound you’ve created.
