MAKER STROLL - FAQ
Who can participate in the Maker Stroll?
Everyone is welcome! Whether you're an adult, teen, or family with kids, this event is for all ages and all levels of creative flair.
Is there a registration fee?
Nope! Registration is 100% free. You can walk solo, join a team, or bring the whole crew.
Do I have to fundraise to participate?
Not at all. Fundraising is encouraged (and comes with fun incentives), but you’re welcome to join the stroll even if you’re not fundraising.
How long is the walk?
The stroll is 1.5 miles through downtown Decatur, with a festive start and finish at Decatur Makers.
What should I wear?
Capes, crowns, and anything that makes you feel creative and bold! We’ll have DIY decorating stations before the walk if you want to make yours on-site.
What do the funds support?
All funds raised help Decatur Makers break down barriers to STEAM learning—providing access to tools, education, and creative opportunities for people of all ages.
What happens if it rains?
We’ll keep an eye on the weather and notify participants via email and social media at least 24 hours in advance if the event is postponed or canceled.
Can I volunteer instead?
Yes! We’d love your help. Reach out to info@decaturmakers.org to sign up as a volunteer.
